
MORE ABOUT DR. BEESLEY
Dr. Beesley completed her undergraduate studies in anthropology at Brown University and earned her MD at the University of Colorado. Her pediatric residency training was at the Oakland Children’s Hospital. She has completed the Reach Institute mini-fellowship in pediatric psychiatry. She has studied cognitive behavioral therapy at the Beck Institute and dialectical behavioral therapy through Psychwire. She has been studying and practicing mindfulness for more than twenty years and completed the Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher Training Program (MMTCP) through the UC Berkeley School for Greater Good. She has studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Dr. Beesley is currently studying Somatic Experiencing through SEI.
Every day Dr. Beesley is grateful for the simple miracle of watching children grow and learn both at work and at home. She has three adventurous, scrappy, curious, and strong-willed children. They humble her as a mom and as a pediatrician. Dr. Beesley and her family enjoy all forms of mountain exploration, including the joys and challenges of getting out together in all seasons.
